Hiep Tran. RIP – saying goodbye to a Solus team member.

With heavy hearts and great sadness to our small Solus team, we say goodbye and rest in peace to our colleague, friend and employee – Hiep Tran.

Hiep joined us at Solus in April 2015.  Right from the start you could tell Hiep loved to laugh. Always quick with a smile and a joke.  Often you weren’t exactly sure what he was laughing about, but his infectious laugh made you smile and laugh nonetheless.

Hiep was pretty much always the first one into work each day, going about his work with a can-do, will-get-it-done attitude.  Although a man of few words he got on with things and always did a top-quality job, taking tremendous pride in what he did each and every day.

Hiep immigrated to Canada on Sept 15th, 1992.  He came because he wanted a better life for his future family – his daughter Jenny and son Danny were both born in Canada and to him, life centred around them and his wife Thao Thi Nguyen.  It is very prophetic that Hiep passed away on July 1st, 2024, Canada Day. A true Canadian immigrant success story.  Rest in peace.
