Which burner is right for your fire pit?
Every ignition type is available with a round/square or rectangular burner plate, so you can match the burner to the shape of your fire pit.
Manual lit
Operates like a BBQ. Turn the gas on and light it with a BBQ lighter. Recommended for residential applications, with an adjustable valve so you can set your flame height.
Manual lit with flame supervision
Operates like the manual burner, with the addition of a standing pilot light and flame supervision device that must stay lit for the fire to stay on. This is a safety requirement for manual high output burners above 60,000 BTUs.
Electronic ignition
Turn it on and off with a switch, a timer or an RF remote. Power must be run to the fire pit. Ideal for public commercial spaces, with an adjustable valve on the fire pit to set your flame height.
All electronic burners require 110 volts. Shutoff valves, remotes, timers and switches are not sold by Solus and are readily available. Electricians often prefer certain products, which vary by region.
