As outlined by ANSI/CSA standards, burner system with an output exceeding 65K BTU, require an automatic shut-off functionality such as Flame Supervision Device or an Electronic Ignition System for added safety. This safety equipment is to ensure that the burner system can automatically shut down in the presence of potentially hazardous conditions. If you are choosing Manual Lit System, it is important to check with your provincia, state or local regulations if your installation do not require ANSI/CSA certified burner system. Some US state and local regulations do not restrict Manual Lit burners to 65K BTUs.
