A Message to Our Many American Customers; NO Price Increase on Solus Products.

A message from Brad Carpenter, the CEO of Solus Decor Inc;

To our many American friends and customers. – NO price increase on Solus products due to Tariffs.

What do the tariffs mean for our US customers who purchase a Solus Fire Pit, Water Feature or Fireplace Surround?

With all the talk of tariffs swirling around it makes it sounds as if everything is going up. That is not the case for Solus fire pits, water features and fire surrounds. Our price remains the same as it was.

There will be no price increase on Solus products. Our products as a whole are covered by the original USMCA negotiated by President Trump in 2018.

However the steel components (dome discs/scupper/plate and supports etc) are not exempt (but no additional charge will be made to our customers).

So, we have to declare the steel component of each of our products by weight and value. However, there is not a whole lot of metal in our products. Therefore Solus will absorb any tariff for our US customers. Once again to be clear, there will be NO additional costs and NO Price Increase on Solus Products to our American customers.

A No Hassle Custom Clearance from Solus.

Solus has been providing a “No Hassle Custom Clearance” for the past 25 years. We ship via DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). This means that we assume all responsibilities, including customs clearance, payment of any import duties and now tariffs. Additionally, there is no need for a Customs Bond or Agent. We have partnered with a US broker so this means you, as our customers, do not have to deal with the complexity of CBP regulations. You just need to receive your order, install and you are ready to enjoy.

So when you order a Solus product what you will pay will be on the invoice as normal. The US Federal government will not be chasing you for a tariff. Solus will pay that if required before it gets to you.

On a personal note as the owner and CEO of Solus I must admit that I find it heart breaking that the relationship between our two countries is so fractious at the moment. Personally I have always got along well with Americans. I have been to the US dozens and dozens of times. I just came back from a conference in New Orleans. Not an unfriendly or unkind voice was heard during the entire time I was there. The American side of the business has been an important part of Solus ‘s success and will continue to be for many years to come. The famous line “This too shall pass” was used by both Shakespeare and Abraham Lincoln and I am sure many others.
