Yes, CSA certified firepits are allowed in Vancouver, BC.

Do firepits require a permit in Vancouver?

Only if there is a fixed gas or propane connection.

You will need a permit only to install a fixed propane or natural gas connection. Permits are not required for a portable propane or natural gas burning decorative firepit. Solus firepits are available as both portable and fixed fuel connection.

CSA approved portable firepits do not require permits in Vancouver
