We are very pleased to announce that Solus has expanded its line of outdoor products. We sourced the world for planters and furniture that matched our style of contemporary living and could withstand our Canadian climate. We went as far as Switzerland and have gained the exclusive rights to the Eternit line in British Columbia. Eternit ( www.eternit.ch) was where Willie Guhl first fashioned his classic line of Guhl chairs in the 1950’s. Eternit continues to manufacture his chairs to this day of cement fibre, a close cousin of Solus concrete. The planters come in a wide variety of shapes and configurations, which will wow any indoor or outdoor space.

INTRODUCING OUR NEW SURROUND– "PORTAL"

Solus is pleased to launch an entirely new fireplace surround model "PORTAL" and its 3-sided version "PORT" to add to our other Solus editions so that you now have 11 designer looks to choose from.

Fireplaces themselves have continued to go "long and linear", away from the more traditional log sets, and are often featured with a "ribbon fire" and contemporary rocks.

Our newest surround is rectangular and available in two different applications – a four-sided version PORTAL, suitable for elevated fireplace inserts, and a 3-sided version called simply PORT which is more suited to floor level installations.

With a maximum opening width of 66.5 inches, they will accommodate any insert that is long and linear. The upper mantel depth of 10 inches also provides an excellent heat barrier that will allow a flat screen TV or your choice of artwork to be safely mounted above.
